The International School of Tucson welcomes applications from qualified and experienced educational professionals, especially those living in Tucson and with overseas training and experience and education to degree level. While fluency in English is not required for teaching staff outside the English Section, please note that all candidates should be highly literate in their teaching language and should expect to sit a written assessment during the interview process, and that involvement in IST’s co-curricular and extra-curricular programs are expected of all members of staff

Spanish Language Pre-School Teachers / Teacher Assistants

Applications are invited for the positions of Spanish Language Pre-School Teachers and Teacher Assistants for a new three and four year-old Spanish-immersion class to open soon, but by the beginning of Semester II at the latest. Candidates will be native speakers, will have four years’ experience and the necessary qualifications to teach in Arizona and will be able and willing to offer an extra-curricular activity. Overseas training and experience and education to degree level would be advantages.

German Language Pre-School Teacher / Teacher Assistant

Applications are invited for the positions of German-language Pre-School Teacher and Pre-School Teacher Assistant. Candidates will be native speakers, have experience and the necessary qualifications to teach in Arizona, and be able and willing to offer an extra-curricular activity. Overseas training and experience, and education to degree level would be advantages.

English Language Elementary Teacher (full-time)

Applications are invited for the position of Elementary English Teacher. Candidates will be native speakers, have experience and the necessary qualifications to teach in Arizona, and be able and willing to offer an extra-curricular activity. Candidates will have experience and the necessary qualifications to teach in Arizona, and be able and willing to offer an extra-curricular activity. Overseas training and experience, and education to degree level would be advantages. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach in the School’s Languages of Instruction.
