IST fully intends to offer scholarships in the future, however at present we are unable to do so and we invite your contribution to help establish the IST Scholarship Fund.

If you would like to serve on the Scholarship Committee, please discuss this with the Head of School.

We would be delighted to accept your financial contribution to the IST Scholarship Fund. If you would like to contribute, please discuss this with the Head of School.

International School of Tucson Scholarship Fund

An IST Scholarship is awarded to a family in the name of a specific student, and is awarded for one academic year in the form of a fee remission. An IST Scholarship is not a grant nor is it financial aid. It is awarded on merit, according to the funds available and to the degree in which the student meets the Scholarship criteria which may be revised from time to time.

IST Scholarships apply to Tuition Fees only and cannot exceed 80% of the applicable Tuition Fees. A family in receipt of an IST Scholarship is still obligated to meet the non-Scholarship portion of the Tuition Fees, and any other Fees and expenses which might apply.

The essential criteria for the award of an IST Scholarship are :

  • The extent to which IST would benefit from the student’s presence
  • The extent to which the student would benefit from attending IST
  • The contribution of the student and his/her family to IST and to IST events, past and future

Applications should be made in writing to the Head of School by 15 March of each year for the following academic year. Applications are considered by the IST Scholarship Committee which makes recommendations to the Head of School. Applicants are generally advised by 15 May of each year as to the outcome of their applications.

The application should contain :

  • The reason(s) for the application (financial, academic merit, artistic excellence etc)
  • Evidence to support the reason(s) with documentation
  • Amount of Scholarship sought
  • Family’s commitment to contribute to the School

The award of an IST Scholarship should not be seen as an indicator of a future award.

For further information on the IST Scholarship Program, or to contribute to the IST Scholarship Fund, please contact the Head of School.
